Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to make a decision about hiring you during the “complimentary consultation”?

No – the complimentary consultation is offered to help you learn more about what we can do to help you. After meeting and working together to determine the specific services you need, you can take your time, talk to family and friends and decide what you want to do on your own timetable.

How do you charge for your services? Do you charge an hourly or flat fee?

Transition with Care works with clients to find the most economical way to help. We charge an hourly fee with no minimum amount of time, since each project and situation is different. The charges are determined by the specific services you choose.

How do I know if I can trust the people you recommend to do work at my house?

All of the Transition with Care vendors are carefully selected and have provided proof of insurance. You will receive a certificate of insurance from the vendor in your name to review before any work is done in your home.

What if I disagree with my loved one about whether or not she is safe living at home?

We can help by providing a personalized Audit of Home Safety and Activities of Daily Living which will give your information and help you and your loved one make decisions.

Can you provide in-home healthcare services for my loved one?

Transition with Care is not a healthcare provider and cannot provide any medical services.  Transition with Care does have a well-developed network of home healthcare providers and can offer referrals in this area.
